The World Famous Hammersmith Morris Men are famed for their good music and for their distinctive, energetic style, dancing in the southern English Morris traditions of Longborough, Adderbury, Fieldtown and Bampton.
They can often be seen dancing around London; traditionally at the start of the season by the River Thames in Hammersmith on Boat Race Day and towards the end of the year on the Southbank at the Mayor’s Thames Festival.
Fifty-one years after its foundation, and still based in Hammersmith, this Morris-dance powerhouse remains a thriving hub of talent, attracting high praise and applause through the team’s ability to rouse crowds with energy, charisma and zest. It doesn’t get any better than this.
